Tips on Written Communication

Selecting words for the message you write :

Use atmost care in the words that you use. Think about the recipient you are writing to and use words that is easier & understandable by everyone, all the recipients. Don't write everything you know, instead put your-self in the recipients shoes and see what they will understand.

An example - I shall endeavour to meet you by today evening
Easy way - I shall try to meet you by evening
Another Example - Ascertain, terminate - end, Utilize -use

When you keep on using these kind of unfamiliar and complex terms in your message it becomes very difficult for the recipient of the communication to understand it, most of the times its misunderstood.
The bottomline is that choose words depending on the recipient to whom i write too.

Length & size of the words/sentences
user shorter words and shorter sentences. Split up your message into several parts as possible. Very lengthier sentences sometimes makes it very hard to understand.

Ok. I thought I will write only stuff i know that was not available in the Presentations.
